Refuerzo estratégico en la dirección de la compañía
04/04/2025We will carry out a passport boxing and palletising project.
At Inser Robótica, specialists in the design and integration of automation and robotics solutions, we have been awarded a key project for the FNMT. We will install two robotic cells in its emblematic building on Jorge Juan Street, in the Salamanca district of Madrid, inaugurated in 1893.
This building, originally designed to centralize the State's printing and minting activities, has witnessed numerous technological advancements. Today, it houses high-security workshops where banknotes, coins, lottery tickets, stamps, and official documents such as the national ID and electronic passport are produced using state-of-the-art technology.
The FNMT has taken a decisive step towards modernizing its passport manufacturing process by entrusting us with the installation of two automatic packing and palletizing lines. The project aims to improve efficiency and safety in the production of one of the country’s most sensitive documents.

Thanks to this solution, up to 50 passports per minute can be processed on each line, integrating advanced technologies such as RFID control, weight verification, and automated labeling. These features will ensure complete traceability, from passport numbering to final grouping and packaging. In addition, we will incorporate a management system that connects directly with the FNMT’s servers, optimizing production and minimizing the risk of human error.
The contract includes not only the installation and commissioning of these lines, but also theoretical and practical training for FNMT staff to ensure efficient machinery operation. We will also guarantee spare parts supply and technical support for the next ten years, thus strengthening the project's sustainability and long-term maintenance.
This milestone is especially significant for us as it reinforces our position as a strategic partner in the automation of high-security industrial processes. It is not the first time we have been involved in a project of this magnitude. A few years ago, we carried out the complete automation of the packaging process for several banknote production lines for Imprenta de Billetes S.A., integrating cutting-edge security and traceability systems according to the industry's stringent standards.
This collaboration with the FNMT highlights its commitment to technological innovation and operational excellence and consolidates our position as a trusted partner in the modernization of industrial processes.
We were selected as the project's awardees in a public and transparent tender process, in which five other prestigious engineering firms participated. Our experience in similar projects, the technological innovation of our proposal, and our ability to safely integrate data reading and consolidation processes (via artificial vision, datamatrix codes, RFID chips, weight, and height verification) were key factors in the decision.

Ana Camacho, our General Manager, highlights: “Being awarded this contract not only strengthens our position as leaders in automation solutions, but also underscores FNMT’s commitment to innovation and operational efficiency. Our team is excited to begin working on this project, where we will combine the latest technology with our expertise in robotic integration to deliver precise, secure, and high-standard results.”
Endika Etxebarria, our Sales Director, adds: “We have designed a solution that not only meets FNMT’s technical specifications, but also optimizes every stage of the process—from passport packing to final palletizing. Our goal was to deliver a robust, flexible system fully aligned with the highest standards of quality and security.”
